Several announcements including the release of LITE's 4th full album "Installation" on June 5th, 2013 from their own record label 'I Want The Moon", which was recorded in Japan and America. This CD album includes 10 instrumental tracks for 2,190yen [2,300 tax included] USD $21.83 .

Kra Announces New Single "Clown's Crown"

 

Visual Kei band Kra announced the release of their new single "Clown's Crown".

There aren't a lot of details available yet but the band revealed that the single will drop on September 11th.

Moreover, they will celebrate their 12th anniversary at Shibuya O-EAST the same day. The live on September 11th will be the first live of their new tour "Kra LIVE TOUR 2013 Joker's KINGDOM -kodoku no ousama-".

SCREW - NEW DVD & FIRST MAJOR ALBUM!

 

SCREW announced on their OHP that they will release their first major album entitled "SCREW" on July 10th 2013.

It will come in 3 types. The Limited Edition Type A priced at ￥3,990 will contain CD & DVD with the CD containing 10 tracks (including one track that is only available in this edition) and the DVD containing the PV, Making of, “Teardrop” SPECIAL SPOT (Byou, Kazuki, Manabu,Rui and Jin version) & Multi-Angle of 1 song performed at SHIBUYA-AX at April 20th 2013.

The Limited Edition Type B priced at ￥3,990 will contain CD & DVD with the CD containing 10 tracks (including one track that is only available in this edition) and the DVD containing the recording footage, Shooting offshot, Interview about the songs & Multi-Angle of 1 song performed at SHIBUYA-AX @ April 20th 2013.

The Regular Edition priced at ￥3,150 will contain the CD only (2 of the tracks are available only in this edition).

Their NEW DVD entitled "7th Anniversary Live NEVERENDING BREATH AT SHIBUYA-AX" will be released on July 24th 2013. The Limited Edition is priced at ￥8,400 a while the Regular Edition is priced at ￥4,200.

Vent Croix 4th Single Release "OVERLAY"

 

Vent Croix's new single "OVERLAY" is released today April 24th, 2013 for 1,260yen [tax in]. This single contains two tracks:

Vent Croix was formed in 2010 and had their first gig on January 29, 2011. Blazing onto the Jrock scene the band had already recorded three singles and distributed them at their first live performance which were "Fall Down, Dress Code [S/A/D], And if Only...". Continuing live performances and two months later in record time, released their first official single "Yakusoku" in Japan that was ranked number one in Tower Records Indie Weekly Sales Ranking.
Keeping the momentum going by releasing their second single Ambivalent/Shine and third "Edge of Glory" also wedging inbetween all those releases and more "live" shows, a DVD titled "Ambivalent / SHINE Moving Images".
Vent Croix is well known for extrodinary high quality shows that on many occasions bring their audience to tears from beautiful melodies and the messages in the music.

alice nine to Reveal Details on "Shooting Star"

 

The single "Shooting Star" will drop on May 29th and comes in three different versions: One Regular Edition that is CD-only and two Limited Editions that include DVDs.
The Regular Edition will include 4 songs: "Shooting Star" and "Affection" and instrumental versions of both of these songs.

Limited Edition Type A comes with a DVD that includes "Shooting Star" PV and making and their performances of "kasumi" and "Heart of Gold" held at their Countdown Live last year, on December 31st.
Limited Edition Type B includes the PV for "Affection" and a documentary.
And if you wonder where you've already listened to their song "Affection": It's the current theme song of "J-MELO" - an english show about Japanese music!

A lot of fans have already been waiting since a long time ago, but now it has been officially announced!
SCREW are going to release their first Major-Album titled "SCREW" on July 10th!!

You can choose between two limited Editions, Type A and Type B, and the regular edition!
Type A comes with a CD containing 10 songs and a DVD containing the PC and Making-of and a Special Spot of Teardrop (there will be a version of every member!) and you will be able to see a live-footage of their performance at SHIBUYA AX on april 20th!

V[NEU] announced at their one-man live at Shinjuku BLAZE on April 20th that their new maxi single, though it's title has not yet been finalized, will be released on July 31st. Full details, however, have not yet been announced.

V[NEU]'s most recent single "The 25th Century Love" was released on February 27th in 5 types!

Nightmare Announces New DVD And New Single Release

 

Good news for all Nightmare lovers - despite hectic schedule, visual-kei rockers from Sendai, has announced a new release!

After their album "SCUMS" hit the shelves on January 30th, they embarked on a 19-show nationwide tour titled "Beautiful Scums". It successfully came to an end today, on April 20th at Hibiya Kokaido theatre, and the band is already preparing for another two releases!

Nightmare announced on their OHP that they will be releasing a new single and a new DVD both in August of this year. The title and the exact date have not yet been fully disclosed but we will update you when more information will be available.

For now go back in time and enjoy their 2007 song "The World" that brought them mainstream success as it was featured in "Death Note" anime.

Support Bassist Has Officially Joined LOKA

 

LOKA announced on their OHP that after discussion, the have decided to let their support bassist officially join the band!

Support bassist Katsumi has been working with LOKA since the beginning of this year and they are happy to let him join the band.

LOKA is a two member 'new-style' rock-band that focuses on the theme "Sexy, Bad and Heavy". They have an industrial/metal sound and appeal to customers in the club type scene. They released their newest album EnFLAME on November 7th last year. Check out the PV for their song 'Slick' below!

LOCUS To Release New Single “dorei”

 

Visual Kei band LOCUS announced the release of a new single in May.

It is titled “dorei” and was scheduled to be released on April 24th but they've postponed it to May 17th. It costs 1800 Yen and includes the main plug “dorei” and a side track “hatsuai”. It's already possible to pre-order the single from CDJapan.

Romancing Saga New Maxi Single Release

 

Visual Kei Punk Band from Osaka, Japan, Romancing Saga has announced a new maxi single "Momoirogakuen Debut" ["Pink School Debut"] which is not to be confused as their debut release since they have been active for several years.

The tracklist of the single is as follows:

The single will be released on 15th of May for 1,500 yen. It's possible to pre-order it from CDJapan.
Romancing Saga were signed by CROW MUSIC label in late 2011 and so far had two official releases - "Techno Break Bancho" maxi-single and "Sexual GT" single, both released in 2011.

Jupiter To Release First Single In July

 

Jupiter, a band comprised of former Versailles members Teru, Hizaki, Masashi and Yuki along with a new vocalist, Zin, announced on their website that their first single "Blessing of the Future" is planned to be released in June of this year.

WIZARD Announces Indefinite Hiatus

 

Visual Kei band Wizard who was formed in 2004 has announced they will be indefinitely on hiatus after their one-man live "not End but And"at Ikebukuro BLACK HOLE at 2013.05.06 due to the departure of several members.

Vocalist kaito, one of the original founding members of WIZARD, has returned to his old blog as of 2013.04.19 with the blog title "S.O.L." [ "Sickle's Onanism Laboratory"], and he has mentioned:

 

"I will NOT form a new band (i.e. if resuming activities he will still be under band name Wizard) and I will NOT be likely to resume live performance in the near future."

Signal Releases New Single "Deadly..."

 

Last month Visual Kei band Signal released their single “Apocalypse“. Now they’ve revealed that their next single is already planned!

You can buy it in advance at their live on May 28th but officially it will be released on July 10th. The title of Signal's 5th single is finalized as “Deadly…” and if you buy it you’ll receive a CD including these two tracks: “Deadly…” and “10F”. There’s only this one version that costs 1260 Yen.

DixdriveR Announces the Release of their Second Single "Durandal"

 

DixdriveR who formed in late 2012 and is relatively new on the live house circuit, has announced through their website the release of their second single titled, "Durandal" which will be released on May 1st, 2013 and will cost 1,250yen. BABYMETAL Announces Brand New Single Release "Megitsune"

 

It has been announced that BABYMETAL’s new single titled, "Megitsune“ , will be released on June 19,2013.

The title track incorporates traditional Japanese instruments into a hard metal sound. It has the theme, "women are actresses since the moment they are born,” and it will also include an enka ballad style throughout the song.

The single comes in 4 different types: CD/DVD Limited "Ki" Edition, Limited
"Tsu” Edition, Limited "Ne” Edition. The limited editions will each come with a digest of lives that were held from last year to this year at SHIBUYA O EAST, BLITZ Akasaka, and ZEPP TOKYO and will cost 1,890yen [tax included]. The Regular Edition CD only will cost 1,260yen [tax included].

BABYMETAL has also added a new date to their upcoming tour, "BABYMETAL DEATH MATCH TOUR 2013 -Go-gatsu Kakumei-", which will start in May. They have added an evening performance for May 18th, at Zepp DiverCity TOKYO. Ticket pre-reservations will be held on their official website until April 18th, 2013.

Crimson Shiva to Release First Live DVD

 

Some time ago Visual Kei band Crimson Shiva announced the release of their new live DVD. More details on this new release are available now!

The DVD is titled “EDEN OF IDEAL” and is scheduled to be released on June 5th but you can buy it in advance at their live on May 19th. The price is 3675 Yen and the release features the band’s live at OSAKA RUIDO on January 12th.

Gackt Announces A New Album Release

 

Gackt sporting a new image, has announced through his website he will be releasing a "BEST" Album, although the title has not yet been finalized. Details on this new album will be announced on May 11th, 2013.

REDRUM Announces New Mini Album "Initium"

 

At their live on April 9th 2013 at SHIBUYA REX, REDRUM announced that their new mini album entitled "INITIUM" will be released on May 29th 2013 in two types. They also announced that the mini-album will be produced by Hizumi who was once the vocalist of D'espairs Ray. Hizumi will also design the cover art for the release.

The limited edition, priced at ¥2,780 will include the CD containing 5 songs and the DVD which will feature the "INITIUM" PV while the regular edition priced at ¥2,380 will include the CD containing 6 songs and "INITIUM (Voiceless) only.

DOWNER Announces New Maxi Single and Free Download Single

 

Visual Kei band DOWNER announced the release of two new singles.

The first one is titled “melt” and you can download it for free! Just open their official website, click on the purple link and you’ll be able to download it as mp3 file. It will be available until April 28th. Make sure to download it within the next three weeks!

The second new single is titled “zero” and is scheduled to be released on May 29th. The single costs 1575 Yen and includes 3 songs that don't have a title yet.
Currently DOWNER has no official drummer but since their live on April 7th Yuuta acts as support drummer. He was part of Megamasso and WORLD WRAP WORD and is on sale now.

alice nine Announces New Single "Shooting Star"

 

In March Visual Kei band alice nine released their single “Daybreak” that will be followed by “SHADOWPLAY” on April 17th. The last single that is part of their three months consecutive release campaign is titled “Shooting Star” and is scheduled to drop on May 29th.

Right now there aren’t a lot of details available. They’ve only revealed that the single comes in three types: Limited Edition Type A and B will cost 1890 Yen each and include a DVD. The Regular Edition costs 1260 Yen and is CD-only.

Based on 70's rock and blues, A Flood of Circle has announced the release of their new single titled "Dancing Zombiez" which will be released with four tracks on April 24th 2014. Cost is 1143yen (1200yen Tax incl.)

Miyavi Announces Self-Titled Album

 

Guitarist Miyavi announced the release of his next album in June!

This album will be self-titled and is scheduled to drop on June 19th. The also revealed that the album will be released world-wide.

But there's more oversea fans can look forward to! Miyavi announced that he's already planning a new worldtour! It will be the 4th time he will visit countries overseas. The guitarist didn't reveal any details yet but it's said that he will tour in fall.

Currently he is on his "Ahead Of The Light" tour that will end on April 13th in Okinawa.

VAMPS First Webisode is Released

VAMPS now with Universal Music and Delicious Deli Records international partnership, have begun the first of their full scale launch bringing the VAMPS into the world. Today the first of their "WEBISODES" have been introduced. With the launch of the webisodes, VAMPS are clearly preparing for the upcoming world tour, which will include shows in Europe and North America, according to Universal Musics' website, will be announced soon.

Gearing up for the world tour also is Frank Takeshita, managing director of Live Nation Japan, who has stated "We are very honored and excited to work with VAMPS as the first artist for Live Nation Japan to work on a worldwide tour".

SCANDAL To Collaborate With A Robot On New Music Project

 

SCANDAL will be collaborating with a robot on a new project called "Robot-Scandal".

The robotics facility Grand Front Osaka, located in the Umekita district of Osaka, will open its doors on April 26. The band will be working with Robi, a robot designed by Tomotaka Takahashi, to create a new song and music video.

The new song is set to debut in late July when SCANDAL and Robi will perform the song for the first time at Grand Front Osaka.

"I think Osaka will become an even greater city. A lot of people move to Tokyo to make their dreams come true, but I'm certain Osaka will become an area overflowing with opportunities. I was born in Osaka and made a band in Osaka. It will always be a special place," band member Rina Suzuki wrote on her blog.

An Cafe announced the release of a brand new single that is scheduled to drop on June 12th. Versailles Reforms With New Vocalist, New Band Name Jupiter

 
4 members of Versailles have reformed the band with a new vocalist, creating a new band named Jupiter.
During their talk-event, HIZAKI and TERU announced their new project, creating much excitement among the music industry and fans alike.

DIAURA Gains New Drummer and Announces Two New Singles

 

DIAURA just announced that a new drummer named “Tatsuya“ has officially joined the band at their live today.

In May last year the band’s drummer Yuu had to stop performing due to tendonitis and Tatsuya started acting has support drummer. Now, half a year after Yuu’s official departure, the band decided that it’s time to make Tatsuya their official new drummer. Before he started playing for DIAURA Tatsuya played for bands like LERISE, DIS★Marionette, Ronove and POPCORE.

DIAURA’s first release with Tatsuya is titled “SIRIUS / Lily” and will drop on July 10th. Type A of this single costs 2310 Yen and includes the songs “SIRIUS”, “Lily” and a mysterious secret track and comes with a DVD featuring the PVs for “SIRIUS” and “Lily”. Type B costs 1680 Yen and is CD-only including the songs “SIRIUS”, “Lily”, “deadly number” and a secret track.

Furthermore, they will release another new maxi single titled “shitsuyoku no seiiki” on August 28th. It includes “shitsuyoku no seiiki”, one new song and two songs that will be re-recorded.

Coldrain New PV for New Album "The Revelation"

 

The third full album from Japanese heavy metal band Coldtrain titled "The Revelation" will be released April 7th, 2013. To promote this album a video has been released today with the title of the album called "The Revelation". Reading over the song titles and watching this video, this album aims to be powerful.
